PADA menjalankan kuasa-kuasa yang diberi oleh seksyen 15 Akta Penyemakan Undang-Undang 1968, Pesuruhjaya Penyemakan Undang-Undang, dengan kelulusan Jawatankuasa Penyemakan Undang-Undang, membuat Perintah yang berikut:

Seksyen 1

Perintah ini bolehlah dinamakan Perintah Penyemakan Undang-Undang (Akta Had Masa 1953) 1982 dan hendaklah disifatkan telah berkuatkuasa mulai dari 19hb November 1981.

Seksyen 2

Akta Had Masa 1953 adalah dibetulkan seperti berikut:

(a)

Dengan memasukkan selepas sahaja perkataan-perkataan "a further conversion" yang terdapat dalam baris empat seksyen 7 (1) perkataan-perkataan yang berikut "or wrongful detention takes place, no action shall be brought in respect of the further conversion";

(b)

dengan memasukkan selepas sahaja perkataan-perkataan "in satisfaction of" yang terdapat dalam seksyen 8 (d) huruf "a";

(c)

dengan memasukkan selepas sahaja perkataan-perkataan "created by the assurance," yang terdapat dalam seksyen 10 (3) perkataan-perkataan yang berikut "in possession of the land charged, and no person has been in possession of the land by virtue of the assurance,";

(d)

dengan menggantikan noktah yang terdapat pada akhir seksyen 10 (4) dengan noktah bertindih;

(e)

dengan menambah selepas sahaja perkataan "acknowledgment" dalam nota birai bagi seksyen 26 perkataanperkataan yang berikut "or part payment";

(f)

dengan menggantikan perkataan "peyment" yang terdapat dalam seksyen 26 (2) dengan perkataan "payment".

REVISION OF LAWS (LIMITATION ACT 1953) ORDER 1982

Opening note

Preamble

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Revision of Laws Act 1968, the Commissioner of Law Revision, with the approval of the Law Revision Committee, makes the following Order:

Seksyen 2

The Limitation Act 1953 is rectified as follows:

Seksyen 1

This Order may be cited as the Revision of Laws (Limitation Act 1953) Order 1982 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 19th November 1981.

(a)

by inserting immediately after the words "a further conversion" appearing in line four of section 7 (1) the following words "or wrongful detention takes place, no action shall be brought in respect of the further conversion";

(b)

by inserting immediately after the words "in satisfaction of" the letter "a" appearing in section 8 (d);

(c)

by inserting immediately after the words "created by the assurance," appearing in section 10 (3) the following words "in possession of the land charged, and no person has been in possession of the land by virtue of the assurance,".

(d)

by substituting a colon for the full stop appearing at the end of section 10 (4);

(e)

by adding immediately after the word "acknowledgment" in the marginal note to section 26 the following words "or part payment";

(f)

by substituting "payment" for "peyment" appearing in section 26 (2).
