Akta Pengangkatan 1952 adalah diperbetulkan—
dengan menggantikan perkataan "and" yang terdapat selepas sahaja perkataan "parent" and "child"' di baris scbelas seksyen 9 (8) dengan perkataan "an"; dan
in the case of the child, if satisfied by a report from the guardian ad litem that special circumstances exist which render it inexpedient or unnecessary that the child shall personally attend before the Court;
in the case of any other respondent, if satisfied that the respondent cannot be found or is incapable of giving consent; or dispense with the attendance of any respondent.".

REVISION OF LAWS (RECTIFICATION OF ADOPTION ACT 1952) ORDER 1982
Opening note
This Order may be cited as the Revision of Laws (Rectification of Adoption Act 1952) Order 1982 and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 24th December 1981.
The Adoption Act 1952 is rectified—
. by substituting the word "an" for the word "and" appearing immediately after the words "parent" and "child"' in line eleven of section 9 (8); and
by substituting the following for section 14 (2)--dispense with the attendance of any respondent."
in the case of the child, if satisfied by a report from the guardian ad litem that special circumstances exist which render it inexpedient or unnecessary that the child shall personally attend before the Court;
