Seksyen 165 Akta diubahsuaikan dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (4) subseksyen yang berikut:

“(4A) Apa-apa syarat yang dikenakan berhubung dengan kelulusan yang diberikan oleh Bank Negara Malaysia atau terma debentur yang diiluluskan oleh Bank Negara Malaysia menurut perenggan (e) Bahagian I Jadual Pertama kepada Akta Bank dan Institusi-Institusi Kewangan 1989 [Akta 372] sebelum 1 Julai 2000 boleh, selepas 1 Julai 2000, diubah atau diubahsuaikan oleh Suruhanjaya di bawah seksyen 32 Akta.”

Section 165 of the Act is modified by inserting after subsection (4) the following subsection:

"（4A) Any condition imposed in relation to an approval given by the Central Bank of Malaysia or terms of a debenture approved by the Central Bank of Malaysia pursuant to paragraph (e) of Part I of the First Schedule to the Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989 [Act 372] before 1 July 2000 may, after 1 July 2000, be varied or modified by the Commission under section 32 of the Act."
