Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa-kuasa yang diberi oleh seksyen 6 (3) Akta Perlembagaan (Pindaan) (No. 2) 1984, Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat perintah yang berikut:

Seksyen 1

Perintah ini bolehlah dinamakan Perintah Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan (Pengubahsuaian Akta Jururawat) 1985 dan hendaklah disifatkan sebagai telah mula berkuatkuasa pada 16hb April 1984.

Perundangan subsidiari yang dibuat di bawah Akta Jururawat 1950 hendaklah dibaca bersama-sama dengan perubahan perubahan yang bersamaan tentang nama-nama atau titel-titel sebagaimana yang perlu untuk menyelaraskan perundangan subsidiari itu dengan Akta Jururawat 1950 sebagaimana yang diubah-suaikan oleh Perintah ini.

"Malaysia Barat" mempunyai erti yang diberi kepadanya dalam seksyen 3 23/67. Akta Tafsiran 1967 dan termasuklah Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan.'

CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT) (No.2) ACT 1984

FEDERAL TERRITORY OF LABUAN (MODIFICATION OF NURSES ACT) ORDER 1985

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (3) of the Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1984, the Yang di-Pertuan Act A585. Agong makes the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Federal Territory of Labuan (Modification of Nurses Act) Order 1985 and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 16th April 1984.

2. (1) The modifications specified in the Schedule, being modifications which appear to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to be necessary or expedient for the purpose of removing difficulties or in consequence of the passing of the Constitution (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1984, shall be made in the provisions of the Nurses Act 1950.

Subsidiary legislation made under the Nurses Act 1950 shall be read with such corresponding alterations as to names or titles as may be necessary to bring the subsidiary legislation into accord with the Nurses Act 1950 as modified by this Order.

Substitute for the full stop at the end of the definition of the word "prescribed" a semi-colon.

(2)

Insert after the definition of the word "prescribed" the following definition:

"West Malaysia" has the meaning assigned thereto in section 3 of the 23/67. Interpretation Act 1967 and includes the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan.'
