s 1Short title, application and commencement

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Prevention and Control of

Infectious Diseases Act 1988, and shall apply throughout Malaysia.

(2)

This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the

Minister by notification in the Gazette; and the Minister may appoint different dates for the coming into force of this Act, or of different provisions thereof, in different parts of Malaysia.
