Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 12 Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya 1957 [Akta 31], Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Seksyen 1

(1)

Peraturan-peraturan ini bolehlah dinamakan Peraturan-Peraturan

Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (Pindaan Jadual) 2001.

(2)

Peraturan-Peraturan ini hendaklah disifatkan telah mula berkuat kuasa pada 1 Mac 2001.

Pindaan Jadual

Seksyen 2

Jadual kepada Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya 1957 dipinda—

(a)

di bawah tajuk “MONTHLY HOUSING ALLOWANCE”—

(i)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “$1,250” dengan perkataan

“RM1,563”;

(ii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “$750” dengan perkataan

“RM940”; dan

(iii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “$450” dengan perkataan

“RM563”; dan

(b)

di bawah tajuk “MONTHLY ENTERTAINMENT ALLOWANCE”—

(i)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “RM1,306” dengan perkataan

“RM1,875”;

(ii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “RM654” dengan perkataan

“RM1,000”; dan

(iii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “RM429” dengan perkataan

“RM688”.

ELECTION COMMISSION (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) REGULATIONS 2001

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Election Commission Act 1957 [Act 31], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement

Seksyen 1

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Election Commission (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations 2001.

(2)

These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 March 2001.

Amendment of Schedule 2.

The Schedule to the Election Commission Act 1957 is amended—

(a)

under the heading “MONTHLY HOUSING ALLOWANCE”—

(i)

by substituting for the word “$1,250” the word “RM1,563”;

(ii)

by substituting for the word “$750” the word “RM940”; and

(iii)

by substituting for the word “$450” the word “RM563”; and

(b)

under the heading “MONTHLY ENTERTAINMENT ALLOWANCE”—

(i)

by substituting for the word “RM1,306” the word “RM1,875”;

(ii)

by substituting for the word “RM654” the word “RM1,000”;

and

(iii)

by substituting for the word “RM429” the word “RM688”.
