Perintah ini mula berkuat kuasa pada 2 Mei 2014.

Pindaan Jadual Pertama 2.

Akta Pencegahan Jenayah 1959 [Akta 297], yang disebut “Akta ibu” dalam Perintah ini, dipinda dalam Jadual Pertama―

(a)

dalam BAHAGIAN I―

(i)

di perenggan 2―

(A)

dengan memasukkan selepas perkataan “belong to” perkataan

“or consort with”;

(B)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “five” dengan perkataan

“two”; dan

(C)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “involving violence or extortion” dengan perkataan “under the Penal Code”;

(ii)

dengan menggantikan perenggan 3 dan 4 dengan perenggan yang berikut:

“3.

All traffickers in dangerous drugs, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of drug trafficking.

4.

All traffickers in persons, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of trafficking in persons.”;

(iii)

di perenggan 5, dengan memotong perkataan “habitually”; dan

(iv)

dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan 5 perenggan yang berikut:

“6.

All smugglers of migrants, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of smuggling of migrants.

7.

Persons who recruit, or agree to recruit, another person to be a member of an unlawful society or a gang or to participate in the commission of an offence.”; dan

(b)

dalam BAHAGIAN II, dengan memotong perenggan 3 dan 4.

Pindaan Jadual Kedua 3.

Jadual Kedua kepada Akta ibu dipinda―

(a)

di perenggan 2―

(i)

dengan memasukkan selepas perkataan “365,” perkataan “379,”;

(ii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “458” dengan perkataan “453, 455,

457 to 457A”; dan

P.U. (A) 122 4

(iii)

dengan menggantikan perkataan “Chapter V” dengan perkataan

“Chapters V and VIB”; dan

(b)

dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan 3 perenggan yang berikut:

“4.

Offences under section 4 or 4B of the Common Gaming Houses

Act 1953 [Act 289].”.

PREVENTION OF CRIME ACT 1959

PREVENTION OF CRIME (AMENDMENT OF FIRST AND SECOND SCHEDULE) ORDER 2014

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Prevention of Crime Act 1959

[Act 297], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Prevention of Crime (Amendment of First and Second Schedule) Order 2014.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 2 May 2014.

Amendment of First Schedule 2.

The Prevention of Crime Act 1959 [Act 297], which is referred to as the “principal

Act” in this Order, is amended in the First Schedule―

(a)

in PART I―

(i)

in paragraph 2―

(A)

by inserting after the words “belong to” the words “or consort with”;

(B)

by substituting for the word “five” the word “two”; and

(C)

by substituting for the words “involving violence or extortion”

the words “under the Penal Code”;

(ii)

by substituting for paragraphs 3 and 4 the following paragraphs:

“3.

All traffickers in dangerous drugs, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of drug trafficking.

4.

All traffickers in persons, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of trafficking in persons.”;

(iii)

in paragraph 5, by deleting the word “habitually”; and

(iv)

by inserting after paragraph 5 the following paragraphs:

“6.

All smugglers of migrants, including persons who live wholly or in part on the proceeds of smuggling of migrants.

7.

(b)

in PART II, by deleting paragraphs 3 and 4.

Amendment of Second Schedule 3.

The Second Schedule to the principal Act is amended―

(a)

in paragraph 2―

(i)

by inserting after the words “365,” the words “379,”;

(ii)

by substituting for the word “458” the words “453, 455, 457 to 457A”;

and

(iii)

by substituting for the words “Chapter V” the words “Chapters V and

VIB”; and

(b)

by inserting after paragraph 3 the following paragraph:

“4.
