  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the National Registration Act 1959 [Act 78], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the National Registration

(Amendment) Regulations 2014.

These Regulations come into operation on 15 June 2014.

Amendment of regulation 5 2.

The National Registration Regulations 1990 [P.U. (A) 472/1990] are amended in regulation 5—

(a)

by substituting for the words “; and” at the end of subparagraph (3)(c)(ii)

a full stop;

by inserting after subregulation (3) the following subregulation:

“(3A) Notwithstanding subregulation (3), in the case of a person registered under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 [Act 297], the

Director General, other than to cause to be included in the identity card an appropriate code or information, the identity card issued to him shall be in brown.”.
