Mana-mana meter teksi yang digunakan hendaklah, pada bila-bila masa dalam tempoh enam bulan dari tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Kaedah-Kaedah ini, dikemukakan untuk diuji semula mengikut Kaedah-Kaedah ibu sebagaimana yang dipinda oleh
Kaedah-Kaedah ini.

MOTOR VEHICLES (TAXIMETER) (AMENDMENT) RULES 2018
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 127(1)(g) of the Road Transport Act 1987 [Act 333], the Minister makes the following rules: Citation and commencement 1.

These Rules come into operation on 12 July 2018.
Amendment of rule 9 2.
The Motor Vehicles (Taximeter) Rules 1959 [L.N. 176/1959], which are referred to as the “principal Rules” in these Rules, are amended in rule 9—
(b)
by substituting for the word “six” the word “twelve”.
Transitional 3.
Any taximeter in use shall, at any time within six months from the date of coming into operation of these Rules, be submitted for re-test in accordance with the principal
Rules as amended by these Rules.
