PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 13 Akta Pendidikan 1996 [Akta 550], Menteri membuat peraturan-peraturan yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2018

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Education Act 1996 [Act 550], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Education (National Education

Advisory Council) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 7 September 2018.

Amendment of regulation 3 2.

The Education (National Education Advisory Council) Regulations 2012

[P.U. (A) 457/2012], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these

Regulations, are amended in paragraph 3(c) by substituting for the word “five”

the word “nine”.

Amendment of regulation 10 3.

Subregulation 10(5) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the word “five” the word “seven”.

Amendment of regulation 11 4.

Regulation 11 of the principal Regulations is amended—

(a)

in paragraph (a)—

(i)

in the national language text, by substituting for the words

“Ketua

Setiausaha

Kementerian

Pelajaran”

the words

“Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pendidikan”; and

(ii)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of the paragraph;

(b)

in paragraph (b)—

(i)

by substituting for the words “Director General of the Ministry of

Education” the words “Director General of Education”; and

(ii)

by substituting for the full stop at the end of the paragraph a semicolon;

and

(c)

by inserting after paragraph (b) the following paragraphs:

“(c) the Director General of Higher Education or his representative; and

(d)

the Director General of the Department of Polytechnic and Community

College Education or his representative.”.
