  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Civil Aviation Act 1969 [Act 3], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

These regulations may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Amendment)

Regulations 2019.

These Regulations come into operation on 30 March 2019.

The Civil Aviation Regulations 2016 [P.U. (A) 97/2016], which are referred to as the

“principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended by deleting Part XXIV.

Savings 3.

(1)

The National Civil Aviation Security Programme or any other security programme established by the Chief Executive Officer under Part XXIV of the principal

Regulations before the date of coming into operation of these Regulations, shall on the date of coming into operation of these Regulations, be deemed to have been established under Civil Aviation (Security) Regulations 2019 [P.U. (A) 99/2019] and continue to be valid and have effect until reviewed, varied or substituted in accordance with the

Civil Aviation (Security) Regulations 2019.

Any notice issued or established by the Chief Executive Officer under

Part XXIV of the principal Regulations before the date of coming into operation of these

Regulations shall, on the date of coming into operation of these Regulations, continue to be valid and have effect until amended or revoked in accordance with section 24O of the Act.
