FEDERAL ROADS ACT 1959

FEDERAL ROADS (WEST COAST EXPRESSWAY (TAIPING-BANTING))

(AMENDMENT) ORDER 2019

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Federal Roads Act 1959 [Act 376], the Minister, after consultation with the State Government of Perak, makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Federal Roads (West Coast Expressway

(Taiping-Banting)) (Amendment) Order 2019.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 23 September 2019.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. The Federal Roads (West Coast Expressway (Taiping-Banting)) Order 2019

[P.U. (A) 150/2019], which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in paragraph 2—

(a)

by substituting for subparagraph (1) the following subparagraph:

“(1)

The following parts of the roads are declared to be Federal roads:

(a)

the part of the road known as the West Coast Expressway

(Taiping–Banting) commencing from kilometre 143.99 at coordinates N 421777.709, E 333667.462 of the Rectified

Skew Orthomorphic (RSO) Geocentric (GDM 2000) Grid and ending at kilometre 162.07 at coordinates N 438818.638,

E 331585.659 of the RSO Geocentric (GDM 2000) Grid

(both distances are measured from kilometre 0.0 of the

West Coast Expressway (Taiping–Banting) at the Banting

Interchange) including the Hutan Melintang Interchange,

Hutan Melintang Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Teluk Intan

Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Teluk Intan Interchange and its link roads, being a distance of 18.08 kilometre; and

(b)

the part of the road known as the West Coast Expressway

(Taiping-Banting) commencing from kilometre 193.59 at coordinates N 455672.836, E 310764.161 of the Rectified

Skew Orthomorphic (RSO) Geocentric (GDM 2000) Grid and ending at kilometre 241.63 at coordinates N 498349.253,

E 311975.628 of the RSO Geocentric (GDM 2000) Grid

(both distances are measured from kilometre 0.0 of the

West Coast Expressway (Taiping-Banting) at the Banting

Interchange) including the Kg. Lekir Interchange, Kg. Lekir

Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Sitiawan Interchange, Sitiawan

Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Sitiawan North Interchange, Sitiawan

The principal Order is amended by substituting for the Schedule the following Schedule:
