Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Port Authorities Act 1963 [Act 488], the Johor Port Authority, with the approval of the Minister, makes the following by-laws: Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These by-laws may be cited as the Johore Port Authority
(Tanjung Pelepas) (Amendment) By-Laws 2019.
(2)
These By-Laws come into operation on 1 November 2019.
Amendment of by-law 1 2.
The Johore Port Authority (Tanjung Pelepas) By-Laws 2000 [P.U. (A) 465/2000], which are referred to as “principal By-Laws” in these By-Laws, are amended in paragraph 1(1)
by substituting for the words
“Johore
Port
Authority
(Tanjung Pelepas)” the words “Johor Port Authority (Tanjung Pelepas Port)”.
Amendment of by-law 2 3.
By-law 2 of the principal By-Laws is amended in paragraph (1) —
(a)
in the definition of “Authority” by substituting for the words
“Johore
Port
Authority
(Tanjung
Pelepas)”
the words
“Johor Port Authority”; and
(b)
in the English text, in the definition of “Port”, by substituting for the words
“Port of Tanjung Pelepas” the words “Tanjung Pelepas Port”.
