Section 3

Any registered owner wishing to show cause against the revision of rent proposed for his land may within thirty days from the date of service upon him of the notice referred to in rule 2 of these Rules, apply to the Assistant Collector of Land

Revenue for a reduction in the proposed rent.

The Assistant Collector shall hear and determine every such application, and shall make such order thereupon as may seem to be just.
