Section 7
—
(1)
Any suit, proceeding or cause of action pending or existing or subsisting immediately before the transfer date by or against the Corporation may be continued and enforced by or against the successor company.

(2)
Any debt or sums owing or due to the Corporation at or prior to the transfer date shall be recovered by or paid to the successor company as if it were a debt or sum owing or due to the successor company.
