(1)

The copyright in every standard specification shall vest in the Council for a period of fifty years from the date when the specification was first declared to be a standard specification and shall then expire, whether or not the specification has been subsequently amended.

(2)

A copyright subsisting by virtue of subsection (1) shall enjoy the same protection as a copyright subsisting by virtue of any written law relating to copyright generally, and such written law shall apply accordingly.
