Section 8

Subject to section 9 (2), a member of the Council appointed under paragraphs (a) to (l) of section 7 (1), other than the Controller, shall hold office for a period of three years and shall be eligible for reappointment; and a member of the Council appointed under paragraphs (m) to (u) shall hold office for a term not exceeding three years at any one time.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Chairman, unless he has resigned or been removed from office under section 9, shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
