Section 45
During a sitting:-
of State Legislative Assembly Standing Orders
(a)
Members shall occupy seats allocated to them by the Speaker. The Speaker may change the allocation from time to time and the allocation of seats for
Ministers and Assistant Ministers on the Government benches shall be on the advice of the Leader of the House.
(b)
All Members shall enter or leave the Chamber with decorum.
(c)
No Member shall cross the floor of the Chamber unnecessarily.
(d)
Members shall not read newspapers, books, letters, or other documents except such matters therein as may be directly connected with the business under debate.
(e)
While a Member is speaking all other Members shall be silent and shall not make interruptions except as permitted under the provisions of Standing Order No. 44
(Interruptions), and no Member shall pass between the Member speaking and the Chair.
