These regulations may be cited as the Mining (Fees) Regulations, 1960, and shall come into force on the first day of
January, 1961.

THE MINING (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1960
Opening note
Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred upon him section 28 of the Mining Ordinance, 1960, and all other powers thereunto him enabling, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations: –
Section 2
The fee for a prospecting permit granted under the provisions of section 4 shall be five hundred ringgit (M$500).
Section 3
The fee for a licence granted under the provisions of section 6 shall be–
(a)
if such licence be issued on or before the thirtieth day of June in any year, five cents for every acre or part of an acre for an area up to 10,000 acres over which such licence conveys to the licensee the right to prospect, and for an area of over 10,000 acres the fee shall be such amount as the Financial Secretary may determine not being less than $500;
(b)
if such licence be issued after the thirtieth day of June in any year, two and a half cents for every acre or part of an acre for an area up to 10,000 acres over which such licence conveys to the licensee the right to prospect, and for an area of or over 10,000 acres the fee shall be such amount as the Financial Secretary may determine not being less than $250.
