Section 2
Section 11 of the Cattle, Grazing and Pounds Ordinance is hereby amended by the substitution of a semi-colon for the full-stop at the end thereof and the addition thereto of the following -
"Provided that in the case of a pound established in the Labuan District no such sanction shall be necessary".

Amendment of section 17 of Cap. 68.
Section 3
Subsection (2) of section 17 of the Land Ordinance is hereby amended by the insertion after the word "Resident" of the words "or, in the case of land in the Labuan District, the
District Officer,".
Amendment of section 2 of Cap. 83.
Section 4
Section 2 of the Muslims Ordinance is hereby amended by the insertion after the word
"Resident" of the words "or the District Officer, Labuan ".
Amendment of Cap. 86.
Section 5
The Native Courts Ordinance is hereby amended –
(a)
in section 3 by the addition thereto of the following new subsection –
"(3) In the case of the Labuan District, this section shall have effect as if for the words "Resident" and "residency" there were substituted "District Officer,
Labuan," and "district" respectively.";
(b)
in subsection (1) of section 4 by the addition thereto of the following new proviso
–
"And provided further that in the case of the Labuan District the powers of a
Resident under this section shall be exercisable by the District Officer,
Labuan,".
Amendment of Cap. 132.
Section 6
The Rural Administration Ordinance is hereby amended –
(a)
in section 36 by the insertion after the word "Resident" of the words "or the
District Officer, Labuan,'";
(b)
in subsection (1) of section 40 by the insertion after the word "Resident" of the words "District Officer, Labuan";

(c)
in section 55 by the addition of the following new subsection
"(3)
In the case of the Labuan District this section shall have effect as if
-
(1)
were omitted; and
(b)
the words "District Officer" were substituted for the word
"Resident".
Amendment of section 107 of Ord. No. 11 of 1961.
Section 7
Section 107 of the Local Government Ordinance is hereby amended by the addition of the following new subsection -
"(5) In the case of the Labuan District this section shall have effect as if references to the District Officer, Labuan, were substituted for references to Resident.".
