Section 26

(1)
Where an officer has been found guilty for being absent from duty without leave or without prior permission or without reasonable cause, he shall not be entitled to any emolument for the period of his absence and all such emoluments shall be deemed to have been forfeited notwithstanding that the appropriate
Disciplinary Committee may not have ordered such forfeiture.
(2)
An officer whose emoluments are forfeited under subregulation (1) shall be notified in writing of the forfeiture.
(3)
The forfeiture of emoluments by virtue of subregulation (1) is not a disciplinary punishment.
