Section 74

When a Judge takes cognisance of an offence on complaint, he shall at once examine the complainant upon oath as in Form 6 of the Second Schedule, and the substance of the examination shall be reduced into writing and shall be signed by the complainant and also by the Judge.

This section shall not apply to a complaint of an offence where a summons is applied for in a summons case made by a Religious Enforcement Officer.

Postponement of issue of process
