PORT AUTHORITIES ACT 1963
JOHORE PORT AUTHORITY (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS 2019
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29
of the
Port Authorities Act 1963 [Act 488], the Johor Port Authority, with the approval of the
Minister, makes the following by-laws:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These by-laws may be cited as the Johore Port Authority (Amendment)
By-Laws 2019.
(2)
These By-Laws come into operation on 1 November 2019.
Amendment of by-law 1 2.
The Johore Port Authority By-Laws 1979 [P.U. (A) 50/1979], which are referred to as the “principal By-Laws” in these By-Laws, are amended in by-law 1 by substituting for the words “Johore Port Authority” the words “Johor Port Authority
(Pasir Gudang Port)”.
Amendment of by-law 2 3.
By-law 2 of the principal By-Laws is amended—
(a)
in the definitions of “pilotage district”, “Port Waterfront” and “Port”
by substituting for the words “Johore Bahru Port” the words
“Pasir Gudang Port”; and
(b)
in the English language text, in the definition of “Authority”
by substituting for the words “Johore Port Authority” the words
“Johor Port Authority”.
Amendment of by-law 30 4.
By-law 30 of the principal By-Laws is amended by deleting the words
“under the control of the Authority”.

Amendment of by-law 87 5.
By-law 87 of the principal By-Laws is amended in paragraph (3) by deleting the words “under the control and management of the Authority”.
Amendment of First Schedule 6.
The First Schedule to the principal By-Laws is amended—
(a)
