Section 1
This order may be cited as the Water Supply (Privatised Water Supply Area)
(Sandakan and Tawau) Order, 1993 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 16th
June, 1993.

WATER SUPPLY (PRIVATISED WATER SUPPLY AREA)
(SANDAKAN AND TAWAU) ORDER, 1993
Opening note
Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 5A of the Water Supply Ordinance, 1961, the Yang-di-Pertua Negeri has made the following order: Citation and commencement.
Section 2
The areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be declared to be a privatised water supply area (hereinafter referred to as “the declared area”) for the purpose of section 5A of the Water Supply Ordinance, 1961, (hereinafter called “the Ordinance”).
Designation of private water authority.
Section 3
Timatch Sdn. Bhd. shall be designated as a private water authority in respect of the declared area with effect from 16th June, 1993.
Section 4
Authorisation of right powers etc.
Timatch Sdn. Bhd. shall be authorised to exercise and undertake in the declared area the right, the power, the obligation, the function or the duty under the Ordinance –

(b)
to operate, maintain and manage, all facilities as may be necessary for the production, treatment, transmission of bulk supply of treated water to the
Government in accordance with the terms and conditions of a contract entered between the Government and Timatch Sdn. Bhd. under section 5B of the
Ordinance.

(a)
Hill Top Water Treatment Plant
(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities);
(b)
Sibuga Water Treatment Plant
(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities);
(c)
Kinabatangan Water Treatment Plant
(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities); and
(d)
Third Floor, Jabatan Air Building Jalan Sibuga.
Areas Declared As Privatised Water Supply Area in Tawau.
(a)
Jalan Utara Water Treatment Plant
(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities);
(b)
Jalan Kuhara Water Treatment Plant
(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities); and
(c)
Cinta Mata Water Treatment Plant

(Raw Water and Treated Water Facilities);
(New Facilities to be Constructed).
