Preamble
- Suatu Akta untuk meminda Akta Polis 1967. [ ] DIPERBUAT oleh Parlimen Malaysia seperti yang berikut: Tajuk ringkas
Seksyen 2
Akta Polis 1967 [Akta 344], yang disebut “Akta ibu” dalam
Akta ini, dipinda dengan memasukkan selepas seksyen 6 seksyen yang berikut:
“Honorary Commissioner-in-Chief 6a. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall be the Honorary
Commissioner-in-Chief of the Royal Malaysia Police.”.

Subseksyen 17(2) Akta ibu dipinda dengan menggantikan perkataan “one hundred ringgit” dengan perkataan “five thousand ringgit”.

Seksyen 21 Akta ibu dipinda—
(i)
dengan memotong perkataan “and” di hujung perenggan (b);
(iii)
dengan memasukkan selepas perenggan (c)
perenggan yang berikut:
“(d) to conduct any escort duty.”; dan
(b)
dalam subseksyen (2), dengan menggantikan perkataan
“two hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months” dengan perkataan “ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years”.

“Power to investigate offences against discipline 74a. (1) Any police officer not below the rank of Sergeant shall have power to conduct an investigation into any offence against discipline under this Act.
(2)
The police officer conducting an investigation under subsection (1) may—
(b)
require any person to attend before him to give evidence or produce any document or other things in his possession; or
(c)
take any action as may be necessary to obtain further clarification on matters relating to the offences against discipline under his investigation.”.
