FEDERAL HOUSING ACT 1965

This Act may be cited as the Federal Housing Act 1965.

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of the City of Kuala Lumpur;

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any written law, the Commissioner shall, if directed by the Minister so to do and subject to such directions as the Minister may give, carry out housing schemes outside the limits of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur but within the State of Selangor on lands and with moneys provided for such schemes by the Government of Malaysia.

"Minister" means the Minister charged with the responsibility of the Federal housing.

In carrying out such schemes the Commissioner may enter into contracts, employ agents and exercise all powers and do all acts as if the schemes are carried out by the Commissioner under the Local Government Act 1976.

The lands and buildings erected thereon pursuant to such schemes are hereby vested in the Commissioner; and subject to the approval of the Minister and to such terms and conditions as the Minister may impose, the Commissioner may sell, let, lease, rent, convey, assign, surrender, hold up, charge, mortgage, demise, reassign, transfer or otherwise dispose of or deal with such lands and buildings or any interest therein.

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of the City of Kansas I.umpur:

"Minister" means the Minister changed with the responsibility of the Federal housing.

In carrying out such schemes the Commissioner may enter into contracts, employ agents and exercise all powers and do all acts as if the schemes are carried out by the Commissioner under the Local Government Act 1976.
