Section 42
(1)
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong may, on the advice of the
Minister, after consultation with the Majlis, appoint for a period not exceeding three years not more than seven Muslims to constitute a standing panel of judges and the Chief Syariah Judge shall select two from amongst them to form a quorum of judges in the Syariah Appeal
Court in respect of every hearing.

The names of the seven members shall be published in the Gazette.
