Establishment of State Archives
(1)
A State Government may, with the approval of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, by order, establish a State Archives.

(2)
The provisions of sections 4 to 47 of this Act shall apply mutatis mutandis to a State Archives as they apply to the National
Archives, in particular and subject to the following:
(a)
there shall be read for the word “ten” in paragraph 14(1)(c), the word “six”;
(b)
references to the Minister shall be construed as references to the Menteri Besar or, as the case may be, the Chief
Minister of the State; and
(c)
the reference to each House of Parliament in subsection 46(2) shall be construed as reference to the Legislative
Assembly of a State.
