Section 96
Section 123 of the principal Act is amended—
(a)
by substituting for the scale the following scale:
“Amount of fine
Maximum period
Not exceeding five thousand ringgit
Two months
Exceeding five thousand ringgit but does not exceed ten thousand ringgit
Four months
Exceeding ten thousand ringgit but does not exceed twenty thousand ringgit
Six months”; and
(b)
by substituting for the words “for every hundred ringgit after the first two hundred ringgit” the words “for every ten thousand ringgit after the first twenty thousand ringgit”.
