Offence by employee or officer or agent

Section 53
(a)
an employee or officer in the course of his employment;
or
(b)
an agent while acting within its authority as an agent, the employer or the principal of the person, as the case may be, at the time of the commission of the offence, is deemed to have committed that offence and be liable to the same penalty for the offence committed by the employee or officer or agent.
(2)
Nothing under subsection (1) shall absolve an employee or officer or agent from any liability for an offence.
