Section 7
(1)
No person shall import for sale or distribution any Qur’anic text printed outside Malaysia unless prior to importation one copy has been submitted to the Lembaga with a statutory declaration that he intends to import other Qur’anic texts which are identical in every particular to the one submitted and the Lembaga has certified in writing that the Qur’anic Verses contained therein are correct and in accordance with the writing method determined by the Lembaga.

Any person who contravenes the provision of subsection (1)
commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding **fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
