For the purpose of carrying out the objects of this Act, the
Registrar General may appoint such number of persons as he deems necessary, whether public officers or not, to be Registrars.
Registrar General
“Registrar General” means the Registrar General of Births and Deaths appointed under the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1957; and
All Registrars appointed under this Act shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code
[Act 574].
