Grant of research and development status
of Promotion of Investments Act 1986
If the Minister is satisfied that the pre-condition under subsection 4G(2) has been complied with, the Minister may grant an approval for a research and development status to the company for a period of five consecutive years beginning from the date of the grant of approval or any other date as may be determined by the Minister.
(2)
The Minister may, with the concurrence in writing of the
Minister of Finance, impose any condition as he deems fit when granting an approval under subsection (1).
(3)
The Minister may, with the concurrence in writing of the
Minister of Finance, vary the condition in the approval granted under subsection (2).
(4)
The Minister may, where necessary, amend the approval granted other than the period referred to in subsection (1).
