Section 25

(1)

The Minister shall appoint a person, designated as the

“Chief Executive”, to be the principal executive officer of the

Corporation, and shall vest in him such powers and impose upon him such duties as may be determined by the Act.

(2)

The Chief Executive shall be responsible for the overall administration and management of the functions and the day-to day affairs of the Corporation.

(3)

The Chief Executive shall have general control of the officers and servants of the Corporation.

(4)

The Chief Executive shall perform such further duties as the

Board or the Minister may direct from time to time.

(5)

In discharging his duties, the Chief Executive shall act under the general authority and directions of the Board.

(6)

If the Chief Executive is temporarily absent from Malaysia or is unable through illness or any other reason, to perform his duties, the Deputy Chief Executive shall carry out the duties of the Chief Executive during such temporary absence or inability.

Appointment of Deputy Chief Executive 26.

The Board, with the approval of the Minister, may appoint a Deputy Chief Executive to assist the Chief Executive to perform his duties as stipulated in subsection 25(6).
