Prohibition of unregistered child care centres

Section 6
(1)

No person shall operate or take part in the management of a child care centre which is not registered under the provisions of this

Act.

(2)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both and in the case of a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
