of Timbalan yang Di-Pertuan Agong (Remuneration) Act 1958
Section 2
There shall be paid to the Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler authorized by law to exercise the functions of the
Yang di-Pertuan Agong during any period during which he exercises the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and is not receiving the emoluments payable to him as the Ruler of his State the monthly sum of eighteen thousand ringgit:
Provided that in relation to a Ruler aforesaid whose emolument payable to him as the Ruler of his State is a monthly sum in excess of eighteen thousand ringgit, the reference to “eighteen thousand ringgit” appearing immediately after the words “monthly sum of”
shall be construed as a reference to the total of the sum of eighteen thousand ringgit and the excess.
(2)
The monthly sum payable under subsection (1) shall—
(a)
accrue from day to day; and
(b)
be payable on the last day of each month or on such other day as the Minister of Finance may from time to time determine.

In the event of there being a change of the Ruler exercising the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, there shall be made such adjustment and distribution of the monthly payment payable under subsection (1) as the circumstances of the case may require.
