Duty to keep heritage site in good repair

Section 42

(1)

The owner of a heritage site shall ensure that the heritage site is always in a state of good repair.

(2)

Where the Commissioner is satisfied that reasonable steps are not being taken for properly preserving the monument, he may carry out such repair works, after giving any person appearing to the Commissioner to be the owner of the monument two weeks notice of his intention to do so, and all costs and expenses reasonably incurred to carry out the works shall be reimbursed by such person.
