Extension and revocation of licence

(2)

Any licence to excavate may, at any time before the expiration of the period for which it was granted, be revoked by the

Commissioner in the event the licence holder is in breach of any term or condition of the licence or such revocation is necessary to safeguard the national interest, interest of national security or for the purpose of any Government policy.

(3)

A licence holder shall not be entitled to claim compensation for any loss or damage suffered or alleged to have been suffered by him by reason of such revocation under subsection (2).

(4)

For the purposes of this section, what constitutes “national interest”, “interest of national security” or “Government policy”

shall be determined by the Minister on the recommendation of the

Commissioner and such determination shall be final.

(5)

No appeal shall lie against the decision of the Minister under subsection (4).
