Section 16
(1)
Subject to such directions or guidelines as the Minister may specify, the Bank shall, as far as practicable and except for such sums as may be assigned to be kept in hand for the general purposes of the Bank, invest in—
(a)
securities of the Government and public authorities;
(b)
other investment authorized by or under the Trustee Act 1949 [Act 208];
(c)
loans and advances to customers for such purposes as may be approved by the Board; and

(d)
other securities and investments as the Board may, from time to time, decide.
(2)
The Bank may, with the prior written approval of the Minister, invest outside Malaysia.
