Minister’s consent required to be director of the Bank

Section 30
(1)
No person shall accept appointment or election as a director of the Bank unless he has, prior to such acceptance, obtained the written consent of the Minister to accept the appointment or election.
(2)
Where the Minister refuses to give his consent under subsection (1), he shall notify the applicant in writing of his refusal.
(3)
Any person who fails to comply with subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three million ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.
