Section 53
(1)
The Governor of the Central Bank with the concurrence of the Minister may compound any offence punishable under this Act by accepting such sum of money as he thinks fit, being not exceeding the amount of the maximum fine to which that person would have been liable if he had been convicted of the offence.
(2)
Any monies paid to the Governor pursuant to the provisions of subsection (1) shall be paid into and form part of the Consolidated Fund.
