Any person who—
person
"person" includes an individual, any corporation, statutory body, local authority, society, trade union, co-operative society, partnership and any other body, organization, association or group of persons, whether corporate or unincorporate;
attempts to commit any offence under this Act;
does any act preparatory to or in furtherance of the commission of any offence under this Act; or
abets or is engaged in a criminal conspiracy to commit (as those terms are defined in the Penal Code) any offence under the Act, whether or not the offence is committed in consequence thereof, shall be guilty of such offence and shall be liable to the penalty provided for such offence.
Any provision of this Act which contains a reference to an offence under any specific provision of this Act shall be read as including a reference to an offence under subsection (1) in relation to the offence under that specific provision.
