Section 16
Power to enter and inspect suspected premises
The Director General or any authorized officer may at any reasonable time enter and inspect any premises reasonably suspected of being used as or for a care centre that is not registered under this
Act and may make such inquiries therein as he considers necessary.
(2)
In the course of an inspection under this section the Director
General or any authorized officer may—
(a)
put questions concerning the management of the premises to any person in charge or taking part in the management of, or employed in, the premises, and all such persons shall be legally bound to answer such questions truthfully to the best of their ability; and
(b)
require any such person to produce to him any records relating to the premises, and may seize them and take copies of them.
