Section 18

If the office of the Governor or any Deputy Governor or any other director becomes vacant before the expiry of the term for which he has been appointed, another person may be appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in the case of the Governor or a director appointed under subsection 16(1), or by the Minister in the case of a Deputy

Governor, for the unexpired period of the term of office of the person in whose place he is appointed.
