Section 67

(1)

It shall be the duty of the Bank at all times to hold and manage foreign reserves for the purposes of giving effect to its objects, carrying out its functions under this Act and maintaining public confidence.

(2)

Subject to section 68, the foreign reserves held and managed under subsection (1) shall consist of the following:

(a)

gold or other precious metals;

(b)

foreign currency;

(c)

securities of, or guaranteed by—

(i)

governments or agencies of such governments; or

(ii)

international financial institutions;

(d)

any readily available drawing facility of such international financial institutions;

(e)

bills of exchange; and

(f)

such other securities and other financial instruments including derivatives.
