Application for renewal of licence
of Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board Act 1987
Subject to subsections (2) and (3), any person who is a holder of a licence under this Act, who satisfies the Board that since the date the licence is granted, he has lawfully and continuously carried on, in a satisfactory and efficient manner, a transport service in accordance with the terms and conditions of the licence, shall on application to the Board for renewal of the licence, be given preference over all other applications for a licence to carry on a transport service substantially the same as that which the licence holder has been providing.
(2)
An application for renewal of a licence under subsection (1)
shall be made before the date of the expiration of the existing licence.

(3)
If the applicant fails to comply with subsection (2) and offers no reason which the Board thinks as reasonable, the Board may refuse to proceed with, hear or determine such application.
