Officers acting under Act deemed public servants
For the purposes of this Act the Director General and any other officer appointed or acting under this Act shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the
Penal Code [Act 574].
Protection of officers 90a. No action shall lie or be brought, instituted or maintained in any court against—
(a)
the Director General, Deputy Director General or any other officer duly appointed under this Act for or on account of or in respect of any act ordered or done for the purpose of carrying this Act into effect; and
(b)
any other other person for or on account of or in respect of any act done or purported to be done by him under the order, direction or instruction of the Director General,
Deputy Director General or any other officer duly appointed under this Act, if the act was done in good faith and in a reasonable belief that it was necessary for the purpose intended to be served by it.
