Effect of declaration
of Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982
Every declaration under section 47 shall have effect as a declaration of intended acquisition under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 of all alienated lands situated within the area to which the declaration relates and any such land may, if the Commissioner is unsuccessful in negotiating his purchase of the lands on terms

acceptable to the Commissioner, be acquired and paid for in accordance with the said Act.
(2)
For the purpose of the said Act—
(a)
any land intended to be acquired pursuant to this Part shall be deemed to be needed by the Commissioner;
(b)
the Commissioner shall be deemed to be a corporation undertaking a work that is of public utility; and
(c)
the land shall be deemed to be needed for the purpose referred to in paragraph 3(b) of the said Act.
