Section 50
(1)
Except for the purposes of this Act or for the purposes of any criminal proceedings under this Act, no authorized officer shall disclose any information relating to any matter which has been obtained by him in the course of his duties and which is not published in any Gazette pursuant to this Act.
(2)
Any authorized officer who knowingly contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both, and for a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
