Section 22 of the principal Act is amended—

(a)
by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:
“(1a) The certificate referred to in subsection (1)
may be issued to any Commissioner of Police or
Director of Immigration through an electronic medium or by way of electronic transmission.”; and
(b)
in subsection (6)—
(i)
in the English language text, by substituting for the full stop at the end of the definition of
“immigration officer” a semi colon; and

by inserting after the definition of “immigration officer” the following definition:
‘ “person” includes a director of a company specified in subparagraph 5(1a) of Schedule 1.’.
